THREE POINT MANEUVER

During the driving test, an important task to be performed is the 3-point turn, also known as the 3-point maneuver. It is the method of turning your car around to face the opposite direction in a limited space, using your forward and reverse gears. It is performed when you don’t have enough space for a complete U-turn. It was vital to be execute this stunt. If you could not, you failed the driving test.

Looking back, for me, the 3-point maneuver appeared to be difficult. I practiced the procedure over and over again. Today, I can complete this turn without thinking.

There is another 3-point maneuverer that I have practiced every day and can perform it, without thinking. It is a practice that can turn your life around when there are limitations in your life. It is the LMH maneuver. Load, Monitor, Harvest Maneuver. The three areas to be used are your lips, mind and heart.

Daily, I ask God for assistance in: Loading My Lips; Monitoring My Mind; and Harvesting My Heart to know His Word, wisdom, will and ways.

Load the lips. Load means something that is lifted and carried. Out of the lips, words are carried. Words, expressions or phrases are lifted from the lips and expelled out to yourself and others. Your words can be heavy or light; helpful or harmful; or encouraging or damaging. Words can cause construction or destruction. We must get in the habit, before anything rolls off our lips, and comes out of our mouths, of asking ask God to load them with His words. Words can get us in trouble. Many people speak first, then think about it later. It should be the other way around. Think first, then speak.

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Psalm 141:3 King James Version (KJV)

Monitor the mind. Monitor refers to watch, observe and check over something, for a purpose. There are multiple thoughts that invade our minds minute by minute. Some are good and others are not. When we ask God to monitor our minds, we are asking Him to watch over thoughts and help us to think like Him; to be positive and uplifting for ourselves and others. If not checked, our thoughts can be damaging. When negativity comes, we need the help of God to fight our thoughts. What roams around in our minds, comes out of our mouths.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:5-6

Harvest the heart. Harvest is to gather or collect; to remove or extract. The Spirit of God dwells in our hearts. Sometimes, when we allow adverse emotions of anger, sorrow, jealousy, depression to take residence in our hearts, they can overpower the goodness. When we ask God to harvest to heart we are asking Him to help us to extract, the weeds of the hearts and keep the good crops of love, forgiveness and compassion to remain.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 King James Version (KJV)

Remember what is harvested in the heart, travels to the mind and is discharged through the lips. That is why it is so important to practice the 3 point LMH maneuver to the point of performing it without thought. It will help you to turn your life around and go in the opposite direction.

The 3-point LMH maneuver should be initiated before you start your day; before work; before speaking to family members; before meetings; anytime or anywhere.

Learn it, practice it and perform it. Start today.
