Surrender Stress Possess Peace
Are you stressed? In God’s 501P plan He God offers His 5 precious P’s of peace, perspective, protection, prosperity and prospective to provide a path of positive position and proper principles in life, now and in the future. The first precious “P” is peace. You contribute your stress and in return God offers you His peace.
If you ask someone if they are stressed, many people may respond, isn’t everyone? No matter what people say excessive stress is not normal.
Excessive stress may occur:
- Attempting to control things, out of your control.
- Overactive life schedules, attempting to accomplish too many things in a 24hr day.
- Impatience. You think you must have the solutions to all problems in minutes.
- Attempting to keep up with others that may be out of your league.
- Overly involved in other people’s affairs, including your adult children.
- The inability to say no.
- The constant desire to please everyone.
- You have chosen a path which you should not be on.
- Not satisfied. A constant desire to get more and more, never content.
- Overspending, with a buy now, pay later attitude.
- Overextending yourself, for other people’s well-being and neglecting your mental and emotional health.
- Associating with the wrong people or in a bad relationship.
- Traffic. If traffic is always heavy, why do you stress about it? Or, for example, you left home late, and it takes 25 minutes to get to work, you stress yourself, out by trying to make the drive in 15 minutes. Why put yourself through this stress?
It’s time to give up all your stresses and take hold of God’s 501P-Peace. God’s peace is His contribution against stress. Peace is a precious gift from God. Peace is not around you; it is inside you.
To take hold of God’s peace, you must abide by some conditions. You must:
- Belong to The Bank of B & T. (Believe and Trust) You must believe and trust in God.
- Adhere to the L&O clause. Listen & Obey. After receiving directions from God, you must listen and obey His directions.
- Requirements are honesty and accountability. You must be honest with yourself and be accountable for your actions, in your bad investments.
Let’s apply 501P conditions:
You must believe and trust that God will grant you peace. You must believe peace is available for you. And, trust God will provide you with peace.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 KJV
God is instructing you not to reply on the peace of the world. The world’s peace usually comes at a cost, to purchase something that promises to provide you with a “peace of mind”. God’s peace is free, for the believers.
Listen & Obey. Excessive stress is avoidable if you are willing to listen to God’s direction. Some of His guidance may be for you to stop overextending yourself; simplify your life. saying no; stop attempting to please everyone; mind your own business; stay out of other people’s affairs and stop trying to keep up with the Joneses. Once God gives you His instructions, you must obey.
Honesty. Can you be honest with yourself that much of your stress you have, can be alleviated? Or do you believe you need to be involved, in all the stresses, that you have? Can you be honest enough to admit that you have been stressed out for so long, you cannot imagine having less stress in your life?
Accountability. Can you be accountable, if your stress continues or have not been alleviated, it is because you are not taking responsibility to lighten the load? For example, it may appear that you are hurting people’s feelings, or you are letting people down, but in the end, walking around with excessive stress will not help anyone if you become sick or throw yourself out of commission, due to mental, emotional or health issues.
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. Isaiah 54:10King James Version (KJV)
