WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHY AND HOW OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Who was your first grade teacher? That was a question circulating on Facebook. Most people can remember their favorite teacher, the one who comforted, inspired or encouraged them. And, everyone remembers the disliked teacher, the one who was unfair, gave punishments, or did other unruly and negative things.

Basically, teachers convey their expertise to enhance your edification. In life, there will be multiple teachers. You have teachers in schools, colleges, seminars, and the workplace. Also, there are teachers who will educate on health, exercise and life.

In the post, What is God it enlightened that God is a Spirit. Now, to take it a step further, God’s Spirit is referred as the Holy Spirit. God gifted a part of Himself to be with us, always. The Holy Spirit took residence in our hearts, so we will never be without comfort, instruction or direction. The Holy Spirit teaches about God and life, if you will listen. The Holy Spirit will console you in the dark times and help you celebrate in good times. He will always remind you of the things of God because He is God. Because He comforts the weary soul; He is called the Comforter.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26 King James Version (KJV)

The Holy Spirit is the Anointed, a divine election, a God-given right or privilege presented to us from God to educate on truth; the power not to be deceived by man or ourselves; and to give direction on the God’s guidance and not the world’s ways.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27 King James Version (KJV)

  • The why of the Holy Spirit. To teach, comfort and to reminds us of the elements of God.
  • How does the Holy Spirit respond? In truth.
